The Kerry Masters Tournament, held on Sunday, October 12th, 2025, was a resounding success, bringing together badminton enthusiasts from across the region. This fun tournament, designed to get players over 40 back into the swing of things, delivered an exciting day of competition and camaraderie.

The tournament featured three sections: Men's Division 5, Men's divisions 1 through 4, and an all-division Ladies section. The clever pairing system, which matched upper divisions with lower divisions, ensured a level playing field and allowed players to mingle with others in their age group from different divisions.

Mixed Finals Thrills

The Upper Division mixed final saw Florence Griffin and Fang Cooper, both from Tralee, claim victory over the pairing of Ushas Girijakumri Raju also from the Tralee and Grainne Twomey from the Ballybunnion in two straight sets.  In the Division 5 mixed final, Jack Sixsmith (Annascaul) and Sharon Murphy (Killarney) triumphed over Ihor Nabokov (Killarney) and Aileen Ruddle (Moyvane) in two sets.

A Big Thank You

A Milestone in Kerry Badminton

The Kerry Masters Tournament made history by becoming the first tournament in Kerry to utilize badminton tournament software, allowing results to be easily accessed through the Kerry Masters page on the new Kerry Badminton Association Clubzap App.
